By exploiting the possibilities of Karl Mayer seamless knitting machines, Q36.5 has developed a technologically extreme view of the traditional seamless base layer. Even cyclists who are already familiar with high-performance seamless base layers will immediately notice the new sensation introduced in this product. Significantly greater elasticity and less resistance to movement in all directions, given the ability of Karl Mayer’s machine to build multiple seamless tubes (most of the sleeveless base layers are technologically obliged to be sewn around the armhole, for example ). Obviously the removal of all seams (with the exception of two short stitches on the shoulders) obviously increases the comfort of a close fitting garment like a base layer. A light material much harder and less brittle, because unlike other machines without welding, the Karl Mayer machines are able to develop a real ripstop. The fabric of the base layer is left without hem, which further removes the seams from the garment, without compromising product durability and without the risk of fraying the threads. The mesh motif is distributed in various densities, along with open mesh sections, mapping the thermal requirements and the rate of regional sweating of an athlete’s body. This not only allows for better rider comfort and protection, but also allows you to significantly reduce the volume of the product, where possible. The result is a surprisingly pure and minimal base layer.
