The frame is lighter, yet stiffer because of additional heat treatment and double-butted wall thickness. This means that you get a quality frame at an affordable price. The Big Nine 20-D has 29 and a suspension fork from SR Suntour which offers 100mm of travel to smooth the bumps on the trail and this is ideal for riding more efficiently on smooth surfaces as well as climbing out of the saddle. If you are riding on smoother terrain and want to conserve some energy, the fork lock out feature can be accessed simply from the top of the fork leg. It is also equipped with Shimano disc brakes for reliability regardless of the conditions and to provide improved control. Hydraulic disc brakes on a bike at this price is rare and makes this bike even better value.
