The Merida Speeder 900 Flat Bar Road Bike is flat out fast and ready to drop some lyrca clad roadies at the traffic lights. You won’t think of this as your relaxed commuter after one ride on the top of the range Speeder 900. You’ll want to lay down some serious speed as it comes so easily and smoothly on the 900.

The Speeder 900 uses a lightweight alloy frame with internally routed cables and a high-quality CF2 tapered carbon fork which gives you an incredibly smooth ride. The geometry of the Speeder puts you in an upright and comfortable position which is noticeably different to drop bar road bikes and is a great solution for the rider that wants that road bike style with added comfort.

The 2×11 speed Shimano Ultegra Drivetrain is the standout on the 900, this is a seriously smooth and reliable groupset which makes this an unbelievably fast flat bar road bike. This is one of the main advantages over the Speeder 400 which is equipped with a Shimano 105 Groupset and to be honest it is hard to go past Ultegra. On top of that it is the only Speeder equipped with powerful Shimano MT500 Hydraulic Disc Brakes which are reliable in all weather conditions, perfect for when you have to commute in the wet. The Merida Speeder 900 is an incredibly capable flat bar road bike that performs like a traditional road bike that is way more comfortable and relaxed.

Features

Carbon Fork:Carbon forks provide superb vibration damping and precise steering. All road bikes feature a full carbon fork; the steerer and fork blades are all made of carbon.

X-Taper Headtube:Using a tapered head tube with 1 1/8″ bearings in the top and 1 1/4″ or 1 1/2″ in the bottom creates superb stiffness and precise, confidence inspiring steering.

Internal Cable:Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike looks neat, whilst the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.
