The new Met Intercity Mips helmet is the urban helmet with the widest range of features for those who cycle in step with the times. Intercity amplifies the protection offered by MET Urbex by adding an adjustable visor that protects the eyes from wind, dust, and insects. It makes mobility on an Ebike safer and your life in the city simpler. MET Intercity Mips is certified NTA 8776, the first certification designed exclusively for cyclists using electric bicycles. Compared to a standard construction, Intercity is able to dissipate significantly more energy in the event of an impact; moreover, its shell has a testing surface that is 10% larger in the two most sensitive areas: temples and nape. Simply put, MET Intercity Mips is one of the safest helmets in the city. MET Intercity is equipped with the MIPS-C2 protection system that allows for the dissipation of rotational forces caused by specific impacts, completing the helmet’s safety in all its aspects. The MIPS system is anchored inside the shell via elastomers that allow for a slip in all directions of 10-15mm, a movement that facilitates the absorption of harmful rotational forces for the brain. The MET Magnetic USB LED Light is magnetically attached to the high rear of the helmet to ensure maximum visibility in all conditions. The magnetic system makes it easy and stable to attach the light, which is also easily removable for recharging via the USB-C cable. The 25 LEDs have 5 lighting modes: steady light, flashing, strobe, eco, and thanks to a light sensor, it automatically turns on in case of sudden darkness. This automatic mode is indicated by a blue LED. The battery lasts up to 6 hours and the charging time is about an hour. MET Intercity is characterized by its unmistakable comfort thanks to a finely engineered internal fit designed to accommodate heads of various shapes. The MET Safe-T Heta adjustment system offers complete customization options through a 360 ring and various vertical positions. The straps are well positioned and the divider is adjustable, a small detail of great importance for comfort and safety. The Fidlock magnetic buckle is easy to use and with the addition of a soft padded chin strap, you won’t even notice its presence.
