- Fit: A BOA 360 fit system includes an adjustable dial that provides a more secure fit and maximizes safety. General improvements to the shape of the shell ensure that ARO5 Race fits lower to the head for better balance, while fitting more naturally to the contours of the head.
- Lightness: ARO5 Race is lighter than its predecessor, the ARO5, achieved through a newly designed shell and other internal modifications.
- Protection: The Mips Air safety system is a low-friction layer built into the helmet designed to reduce rotational movement of the head, helping to reduce damaging forces that might otherwise strike the cyclists head.
- Ventilation: ARO5 Race features newly designed front and top air intakes to greatly increase airflow and breathability. There are 19 air intakes in total at the top, sides and back.
- Lining: The Ionic+ Antimicrobial lining is sweat activated, keeping things fresh and odor under control.
- Goggle Storage: Front air vents give cyclists a focal point for easy goggle storage. Unobtainium grippers hold the goggle stems in place, while openings in the foam on the inside of the helmet prevent the stems from injuring the wearers head in the event of an impact, creating a simple and intuitive goggle storage space for cyclists.
- Design: ARO5 Race features an Iiridium-coated badge that mirrors the Prizm lens colors seen in Oakley goggles, all of which celebrate the legacy of Oakley goggles.
