The S-Works Turbo RapidAir 2BR tire is the perfect race tire. The most efficient, lightweight, maneuverable, and durable tubeless tire ever made. The original RapidAir tires broke the tradition of using tubulars in the most important competitive races. The unique construction of the RapidAir – a two-ply design that overlaps on the shoulder instead of the traditional three-ply that packed material under the tread – provided a very fast base to start from. We were able to enhance the excellent performance thanks to the new Gripton T2 compound, the fastest, found on the central tread, combined with T5 on the shoulders. This dual compound provides a two-watt advantage for a pair of S-Works 26mm compared to previous versions, and also adds 1000 km of durability. Oh, did we mention it’s also lighter? Only 230 grams for the 26mm section. Since we are talking about tubeless tires, if used with RapidAir sealant, you can leave the spare inner tube at home. It doesn’t stop there – with the new hybrid Kevlar-BlackBelt puncture protection, this tire is 12% more resistant to punctures, while also being lighter and more flexible.
