The tread of Scorpion E-MTB R tires is developed for use on the same terrain as the Scorpion E-MTB M, with medium height and spacing blocks and a wide range of use. The specific design of the central blocks, derived from Pirelli’s experience in the motocross world, increases grip and stability both in braking and in traction to give Scorpion E-MTB R unique dynamic and reliability characteristics. Pirelli has added lignin to the specific E-bike compound called SmartGRIP + Compound. Lignin is a chemical component of natural origin that improves the performance in light of the speeds and torques associated with the electric motors of E-mountain bikes. A new patented construction that improves driveability and protection from punctures at low pressures, key factors in off-road applications, especially in the more demanding ones such as gravity and e-MTB. The strength of the heel and the stability of the sides are fundamental pillars in the performance of a mountain bike tire.
