Castelli Squadra Stretch jacket – Grey

The Castelli Squadra Stretch cape is a modern interpretation of the windproof cape, the one you can keep in your pocket ready to be worn on a long descent or during the first hour of pedaling until the day warms up. This jacket was originally very basic – a simple nylon cape – but the lack of stretch meant that it had to be cut at the back of the hips to fit all body sizes, both on and off the bike. Panels have been added on the sides and the sleeves are in a very elastic fabric but at the same time with a very dense texture that allows you to give the jacket a modern, tight-fitting look, and capable of retaining more heat than a fluttering jacket. It is super compact so it can be stowed away taking up minimal space in a jersey pocket. The stretch panels are treated to be water repellent, which will help in light drizzle, but it’s not meant to be a real rain jacket.
